The 2020 E-Class also steps things up in terms of engine power, with the base offering getting a nice boost. The 2020 Mercedes-Benz E-Class comes with four different engine options: a 2.0-liter inline-four, 3.0-liter turbo V6, 3.0-liter turbo 6-cylinder, and 4.0-liter turbo V8. Each one brings the ample power and performance that Mercedes-Benz drivers know to expect.

The updated turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine produces 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. It comes on the base E-Class model, which has now been upgraded from the designation of E300 to E350. If this engine sounds familiar to Mercedes-Benz acolytes, that’s because it is: the powerhouse was first used in the updated C-Class and GLC-Class models. It’s also found in the 2020 GLE-class SUV.

The next model up, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz E450, comes with the V6 turbo 3.0-liter machine, which makes 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.

After that, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz E53 AMG utilizes a 6-cylinder turbo 3.0-liter engine that makes 429 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque.

Finally, at the top of the prestigious heap, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S gets a V8 turbo 4.0-liter monster that puts out a full 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque.
